"FAR EASTERN FISH EXCHANGE" will will look up to PDAs

In anticipation of the professional holiday - the Day of the fisherman – there has been a working meeting of the Deputy Minister for Development of the Far East Russia Maxim Shereikin and the president of the "Far Eastern Fish Exchange", CJSC, Sergei Lelyukhin

During the meeting they discussed the prospects of changes in the work of the Far Eastern fishing industry in accordance with the state-level objectives at the state level of attracting investments to the region and improving the competitiveness of the Far Eastern Federal District economy. Sergei Lelyukhin talked about the project of the Far Eastern Fish Exchange and mechanisms of work to optimize the trading of the seafood caught by the fishing companies in the region.

United electronic trading platform for the marine biological resources trading was established by the "Saint Petersburg Exchange", CJSC, and the "Far Eastern Fish Exchange" CJSC with the support of Russian Federal Fisheries Agency and "Rosselkhozbank", JSC, and began its work in May 2014.

The project allowed to combine the Russian Far East and the western regions of the country into a united tradin, and in perspective it would help regulate the trading of fishing and fish processing companies of the Far East of with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, making it more transparent, and the industry - more attractive for investment.

According to Sergey Lelyukhin, the General Director of the "Far Eastern Fish Exchange", CJSC, President of the Association of developers, manufacturers and suppliers of fish-processing systems and equipment (ADMSFSE), during the meeting the parties discussed prospects of cooperation in these areas, including the PDAs – priority development areas.

"Such projects as united trading platform, or a draft of fisheries cluster in the Primorsky region, at the origins of which, among others, was the Association of developers, manufacturers and suppliers of fish processing facilities and equipment, allows to define the vector of reforming the fishing industry and transfer it to the world level by increasing the competitiveness and importance to the economy of the country and the region "- said Sergey Lelyukhin.
