Exchange of St. Petersburg will hold its first auction on selling the fish on May 29

The first auction will be held on May 29 at 9:00 am MSK, which exhibited 24 lots of total volume of 2025.105 tons of fish. In future, it’s planned to hold similar auctions on a regular basis, said the Federal Fisheries Agency.

MOSCOW, May 18 - RIA Novosti / Prime. Exchange of St. Petersburg with the participation of the Far Eastern fish on May 29 will hold an auction for the sale of caught fish and fish products for the first time, said the Federal Fisheries Agency.

"The first auction will be held on May 29 at 9:00 am MSK, which exhibited 24 lots total volume of 2,025.105 tons of fish. In future we plan to hold similar auctions on a regular basis, "- said in a release.

Federal Fisheries Agency create six fishing centers in the Far East 

In May 2014 exchange platform based on an electronic system of CJSC "Stock Exchange “Saint Petersburg" was open. Then the Far Eastern and St. Petersburg Stock Exchange announced plans to create a project of stock trading aquatic biological resources, considering the interest of the business community in the project.

"Federal Fisheries Agency together with representatives of commodity of exchanges are considering the possibility of using stock exchanges for purchases fishery products for state and municipal needs, which allows commercial fishing enterprises to be directly involved in this process", - adds the agency.

In particular, the benefits of exchange trading and auction at purchasing of fish products for state and municipal needs are: the regulation of prices according to the market indicators and a wider range of products. In addition, during such auctions people save their time and have an opportunity to purchase a quality product at a lower price.
